Since 1874, visitors enjoy more than 7.000 animals of 600 species and beautiful arranged parks at the oldest Swiss zoo. Let yourself be inspired by the animal residents during your event!

You can celebrate occasions of every description at the entrance hall (max. 120 people), Zolli halls (up to 180 people) or terraces at the tiled first floor (for up to 180 people). At the ground-floor, the elegant restaurant provides space for 460 guests and offers a fantastic view across the elephant enclosure. Here, you will experience up close a premium catering, a first-class service and an exotic ambience of the city zoo.

Your animal business event

Do you want to celebrate a company jubilee or would you like to invite your employees for an excursion as a team-building exercise? How would it be with an aperitif at the animal house? After a guided tour at the vivarium, the ape house or one of the other animal houses, you can enjoy an aperitif from 20 up to 150 people at one of these locations.

Your work-filled get-togethers, like meetings and trainings, can take place in one of the two modern meeting rooms (max. 12 people) or at the two training rooms (max. 72 people) during the opening times.

Your dream wedding at Basel Zoo

Your wedding will find an elegant setting at the hall of the restaurant. Here on the ground floor, you are able to celebrate with up to 460 guests with a fantastic view on the elephant enclosure through the panorama window. When you are photographed in front of exotic sceneries, your guests can enjoy an exciting guided tour through the animal enclosures. The zoological garden is also the perfect location for a wedding party with many children.

Enjoy your event with culinary delights, everything prepared to meet your individual requirements. Whether you chose a buffet or a five-course menu – the catering team creates culinary pleasures on the highest level and for everybody’s taste.
