858 meters above sea level the Gurten awaits you with idyllic nature and a unique panoramic view. Hop on the “Gurtenbahn” or your bike to get to the top or just take a walk up. In any case, the journey is worth it as you will not find a more beautiful place to host an event! Enjoy our program which will entertain families, music and sport fans and gourmets. As an alternative you can use the unique venue to host your very own event.

You want a top birthday or wedding celebration? Then the pavilion is the right address for you. It is plain but still stylish – and the highest point in Bern. Fully made of glass it presents a breathtaking view of the city, the surroundings and the Alps. The total of 500 m² can be separated in one 160 m² big room for an aperitif and two halls of 170 m² each – it is suited for every occasion and groups between 105 and 1,000.

With natural air conditioning and outdoor curtains to darken the space, a nice room temperature is created. In addition, you can choose the audio, lighting and video technology freely. A stage, suitable interior and LED signs can also be used.
For weddings or other family events the venue “Kulturschür-Uptown” is ideally suited. This event location also includes a stage and even a bar. On two levels a total of 400 guests can attend your event. Especially the 220 m² top level includes modern technology for audio, lighting and video but the lower level has audio equipment as well. Welcome your guests right here and use the terrace as an additional event area. Between 24 and 80 people can attend different occasions here and thereby enjoy the special ambience of this location. For every event vision our experienced team gladly creates a customized solution!

Conferences at an Idyllic Place

We also offer individual spaces for your successful business event. You can choose between nine different spaces. The rooms EIS, ZWÖI, DRÜ, VIER, FÜF, SÄCHS und SIBE have a size of 27 to 40 m² and can be used for smaller groups of 8 to 38 guests. Completely redone in 2016 they include a lighting system, an exciting color theme and modern technology. Comfortable interior, high-class infrastructure and great service guarantee a successful ending. For bigger teams with up to 60 members our rooms Falco (74 m²) and Buteo (69 m²) can be used.

Of course we do not only take care of a successful realization of your event but also of the hospitality. The Gurtners restaurant is waiting for you with an unforgettable ambience and view. Enjoy the outstanding service and choice of menu here. The Tapis Rouge is a self-service restaurant with even more possibilities. At various buffets you can choose between salads, warm dishes and delicious desert. You can take your food out on both terraces and enjoy the view or find any other nice spot nearby. Our take away plates are sustainable.

Exciting Incentives Surrounded by Dreamlike Landscape

If you want to combine your seminar, conference or workshop with an exciting incentive we can present you several possibilities to do so. The “Feier & Tagen” (“Celebrate & Meet”) team will support your small events at the toboggan run (winter break until end of March) or at the Gurten Games. These games will definitely bring your team closer and always include different disciplines. The graffiti experience is a fun group activity that brings out the creativity of your coworkers. A “Gurtenbahn” tour, a history crash course of Bern, the Tour de Gurten or an exciting open air astronomy evening – we offer the fitting program for everyone. Gourmets can enjoy a wine degustation or a coffee workshop. Just talk to us and together we will find your favorite activity!
